SUMMER LACROSSE CAMPS: NCLA will endeavor to keep the community updated with clinics and camps in the area as we become aware of them. Below are a list of some of the events that are local and brought to you by folks who NCLA is very familiar with.  As of this update we have only obtained information from the following programs:

> 2015 Lacrosse Draws – New Canaan Youth Lacrosse Camp - With Andy Towers, Former Head Lacrosse Coach Dartmouth College - Dunning Field from July 20-23rd ^-

 Directing this camp will be former 3x All-American at Brown University, Major League Lacrosse All-Star for the Boston Cannons, and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Dartmouth College, Andy Towers. Coach Towers has specially designed this camp to accelerate the improvement of each camper’s fundamentals and overall understanding of the game of lacrosse through a variety of skill work, drills, and games in a fun and safe environment. > Breschi Lacrosse is proud to announce Carolina Lacrosse Camp - Greens Farms, Westport Ct - Aug 5th & 6th.

Coach Breschi from UNC and his staff will be conducting a high level 2 day camp utilizing the beautiful fields at greens Farms Academy in Westport Ct Aug 5th & 6th. UNC Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Joe Breschi along with his Assistant Brian Holman and recent graduates Marcus Holman and Davey Emala among others will be participating. The program will be divided into youth in the mornings and HS ages in the afternoon.  

The University of North Carolina Lacrosse coaching staff is thrilled to be returning to Greens Farms Academy in Westport CT. on August 5th and 6th 2015 to host our 2nd annual lacrosseCamp.  UNC Head Coach Joe Breschi along with assistant coach Brian Holman will once again be running the camp.  Current USA World Teamer and UNC All Time leading scorer Marcus Holman and Carolina Alum and Boston Cannon Davey Emala will also be coaching at the Camp.  We will also have current UNC star players instructing.  Last year we had 8 current UNC players.  We will increase that number this year. This year we will also be adding other COLLEGE COACHES and MLL players.

 

Coach Breschi would love to have your program participate at our Camp.  The instruction is the highest level and it is a great opportunity to be coached by one of the best staffs in Division 1 lacrosse.  Coach Breschi will be coaching for the entire 7 hours over the 2 days.  If your staff would like to coach at our camp please reach out and let me know.

> Next Save Goalie Lacrosse Camps - Boys & Girls - SONO

Next Save Lacrosse will be hosting a 4-day goalie camp this summer, July 20-23, 2015!

We are offering two sessions, one for 4th - 8th grade goalies, and a second session for 9th - 12th grade goalies. Both clinics are offered for both Boys & Girls Goalies.

*Note: choose the grade your son/daughter will be entering into the following school year.

Do NOT miss out on this opportunity to learn from some of the nation's best goalies instructors!

The camp itinerary will include a thorough breakdown of goalie fundamentals, drills to sharpen and define skills, and competitive games each day. We are also excited to include a video component to camp, where players will watch themselves on film while receiving instruction from coaches. This camp was specifically designed for goalies, by goalies!

Our staff includes Princeton assistant and former MLL goalie Matt Madalon, former UNC and current NY Lizard goalie Chris Madalon, and current NY Lizard and Team USA goalie Drew Adams.  Amongst the three of us we have a great deal of knowledge about the position and are anxious to help young goalies improve their game. 

This camp will include goalie specific training drills, advanced techniques/strategies, as well as individual film evaluation! Goalies will have the chance to watch film of themselves alongside on of our coaches, while receiving personal instruction.

About Our Coaches

Jeff Tambroni

Jeff Tambroni is entering his second year as head coach at Penn State University, and was just named as a 2014 Team USA Assistant Coach for the FIL World Games in Denver.

Prior to his arrival in State College, he spent 10 seasons as head coach at Cornell University (2001-2010), where his teams won eight Ivy League championships (2003-2010) and made three final four appearances (2007, 2009, 2010). In 2009, Tambroni was named the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coach of the Year after leading Cornell to the national championship game. His overall collegiate coaching record is 116-47, having amassed 109 wins while at Cornell. A 1992 graduate of Hobart University, Tambroni helped lead the Statesmen to back-to-back NCAA Division III championships (1990-91) before beginning his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater in 1993.

"Coach Tambroni is one of the most outstanding coaches in the game," Team USA Head Coach Richie Meade said. "He's great with offensive players and will be very good at developing schemes to highlight the great talent we have here in the U.S."
