NCLA Travel Guidelines

Before attending lacrosse practices or games after travel, players and coaches who are traveling are asked to get tested with a viral test (PCR is best) after returning to Connecticut and stay home from practices and games until you receive negative test results.  If anyone with you on your trip tests positive after returning to Connecticut, you should immediately quarantine.

We appreciate your compliance with these guidelines and hope that it prevents our teams from being exposed to Covid 19 and having to quarantine.

In addition, please continue to follow the NCLA Covid protocols below.  Failure to adhere to these protocols may result in your player being removed from play for the season.

General NCLA Covid Protocols:

  • Stay home if you do not feel well, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to someone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19.  If a player has missed school due to illness or close contact, they may not participate in lacrosse activities.
  • If a player shows signs/symptoms of Covid-19, that member MUST take a PCR test before returning to play. A negative rapid test will NOT be accepted because a rapid test is not as accurate as a PCR test.
  • If a player has been quarantined after close contact with someone who is known to be positive for Covid-19, that player MAY NOT participate in lacrosse until their quarantine period has ended.  You can not test out of a quarantine.
  • If you are currently following school guidelines and are in quarantine, you MUST stay home from all lacrosse activities
  • If an individual does not have Covid-19 symptoms BUT had close contact to someone diagnosed with Covid-19, they should have a test taken no earlier than 5 days after last exposure
  • If a player is quarantined as a close contact and has no symptoms, siblings of that player may participate in lacrosse activities.

**If your player is quarantined, it must be reported to

Patricia Mee -  - AND your Grade Level coordinator.***

We appreciate your attention to these safety measures in order to ensure a successful lacrosse season.

US Lacrosse stands together in solidarity with those members of our community who routinely feel the weight of oppression, systemic racism, hate and a failing system of justice. We will continue to work to make the lacrosse community an agent of change for all who play and support the Creator’s game.
